Refund Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This policy explains when and how you can get your money back for purchases made on OpenDev (opendev.page). OpenDev is operated by SRC CONNECTION LIMITED, a company registered in the United Kingdom, and this policy is written to comply with UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
1. Free tier first
You can try OpenDev without paying — sign in and use the free features before purchasing anything. We encourage you to make sure the Service works for you before subscribing.
2. Your 14-day cooling-off right (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the UK (or EU) — buying for personal use, not for a business — you have a legal right to cancel a purchase of a digital service within 14 days of buying it, without giving any reason.
- If you have not started using the paid service, you will receive a full refund.
- If you asked us to start providing the service during the 14-day period and then cancel, we may deduct an amount proportionate to the service already provided (for example, the days of a subscription already used or compute resources already consumed), and refund the rest.
3. Wallet credit (top-ups)
Where the Service is billed through prepaid wallet credit (you top up a balance and usage draws it down):
- Unused credit is refundable. If you cancel a top-up within the 14-day cooling-off period, we refund the unused balance in full; any credit already spent on usage is deducted.
- Beyond 14 days, we will still refund a materially unused top-up on request as a goodwill matter (section 6) — we don't want to keep money for a service you're not using.
- Wallet credit is not transferable and has no cash value except as described here.
4. Subscriptions
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
- Beyond the 14-day cooling-off period, we do not normally refund partial billing periods — but see sections 5 and 6 below.
- If we increase the price of your plan, we will notify you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
5. Faulty or unavailable service
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and be as described. If the Service is materially faulty, unavailable for a significant period, or not as described, you are entitled to a repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction / partial or full refund, depending on the circumstances. Contact us and we will put it right.
6. Goodwill refunds
Even where we are not legally required to, we would rather refund you than keep money for a service you're not happy with. If something didn't work out — you subscribed by mistake, forgot to cancel, or the Service didn't meet your expectations — contact us within a reasonable time and we will consider a refund in good faith. Refunds of this kind are at our discretion and are assessed case by case.
7. Business customers (B2B)
If you purchase OpenDev for or on behalf of a business (for example a team or workspace plan), the statutory consumer rights described in sections 2 and 5 do not apply. Business purchases are governed by the agreement between us and are non-refundable, except where we have agreed otherwise in writing or where this policy says we will refund (for example sections 3 and 6 — unused wallet credit and goodwill refunds extend to business customers too, at our discretion). Business subscriptions can still be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.
8. What is not refundable
- Third-party costs you incur directly with other providers (for example your own AI provider API keys or your own cloud servers) — these are governed by those providers' terms.
- Charges older than 6 months, except where required by law.
- Cases of abuse of the Service or of this refund policy (for example repeated purchase-refund cycles).
9. How to request a refund
- Email support@opendev.page from the email address on your account.
- Include the approximate purchase date and, if you have it, a receipt or payment reference.
- Tell us briefly what went wrong — it helps us fix the Service for everyone.
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days (usually much faster; the exact timing depends on your bank or card provider).
